Atticus, the cultured pup

Every day we are learning new things about the newest member of the family. He hates to be left alone, he loves playing "bad blankie", he has the cutest bark when he wants to play. The most surprising thing is that he likes to listen to classical music and read the New York Times. Who knew?

First visit to Mr T

Atticus had his first visit with his new veternarian, Dr T. His first weigh in showed he was a huge 4.5lbs. Dr T gave Atticus a clean bill of health and showed his humans how to cut his nails and clean his ears. Atticus also got a shot, he was very brave and only yelped once, Mommy B on the other hand, had jelly knees and had to turn away when she saw that syringe. Good job Mummy L was there to hold Atticus. After the outing, Atticus took a long nap.

Day One

Welcome home Atticus. I took this photo with my cell phone in an attempt to capture Atticus bonding with his new family. I am happy to report that he is still as affectionate and loving four days later.

Hi, All,

We're setting this blog up for friends who want to follow our new puppy's adventures. Believe me...I never thought I would put up cute photos of a dog and get all gushy about a dog...but this little guy has won me over and life has become a cheesy Hallmark card because of Atticus. I know, I know...what "new" can be said about dogs?! And the joy they bring?

Well, give me a chance to try and articulate these feelings.
